The Story of AbbaFit

Matthew 5:16

I grew up in a broken family that struggled with debt.

From a young age, I carried a lot of weight and emotional burden in my heart — the kind of weight that makes you grow up faster than you should. By the time I was in junior college, the pressure caught up with me. Depression hit me hard. I felt like nothing in the world mattered anymore — like my existence was meaningless. I even thought of ending it all.

But in the middle of that darkness, God met me.

I had a dream of Jesus — I can’t even fully describe His face, but I just knew it was Him. His presence was warm, His light overwhelming, and He gave me a word: “meek.” At that time, I had never even heard the word “meek” before. I woke up in tears, grabbed my phone, and searched for its meaning. That’s when I found it in Scripture:

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” – Matthew 5:5

That moment shook me. God was showing me that real strength doesn’t come from control or pride, but from surrender. Meekness is strength under control. That one word accelerated my faith and ignited a personal relationship with God that changed everything.

But the truth was, I was still carrying years of hurt, insecurity, and shame. I needed an outlet. That’s when fitness became more than just exercise — it became my therapy, my fight back against the darkness. Every rep, every run, every drop of sweat was a way of releasing the burden. And in those moments of training, I began to see something deeper: the same way I was building strength physically, God was building strength in me spiritually.

And there was another area of my life I had always struggled with — my appearance.

Growing up, I never had a single sense of fashion taste. My friends would make fun of me for wearing my school uniform, dragon-tee, or college shirts everywhere I went. I never cared much about how I looked, but over time, I realized something: the way we carry ourselves outwardly can also reflect the Christ who lives in us inwardly.

So I decided to work on my outward appearance — not out of vanity, but out of reverence. To carry myself in a way that truly reflects the God I worship. That became the final spark for AbbaFit: to create apparel that doesn’t just clothe the body, but reflects Christ in style, strength, and spirit.

That’s how AbbaFit was born.

“Abba” means Father. Everything I have today is only because of Him. This brand isn’t about me — it’s about giving back to the One who carried me through the fire, and honoring the sacrifices of my mother who first brought me to Christ.

AbbaFit is my way of taking the things I love — fitness, fashion, and faith — and weaving them together into something bigger than myself. Every hoodie, every tee, every short is built to remind us of the Word, to carry the message of Jesus into places it normally wouldn’t go — into the gym, onto the streets, into everyday life.

This is not just clothing. It’s a testimony.

Every piece is meant to start a conversation, spark curiosity, and remind both the wearer and the world that faith is not just for Sundays. It’s daily. It’s lived out. It’s worn.

And AbbaFit isn’t just about what we wear. It’s about impact. Each purchase fuels a bigger purpose — to uplift the next generation and spread God’s Word. If AbbaFit can be a tool to plant seeds of hope and faith, then every drop of sweat and every late night building this brand is worth it.

I didn’t start this as a business. I started it as a response. A response to God’s grace in my life.

What was once pain has now become purpose.

What felt like the end has now become a beginning.

This is the story of AbbaFit — but it’s really the story of God’s faithfulness. And I pray that every time you put on an AbbaFit piece, you’re reminded of the same truth:

He is constant.

He is enough.

He is Abba Father.
